I obtained a General Biology major, as well as minors in both Mathematics and Law & Society, from UC San Diego in 2016. I have been working for TutorNerds, since May of 2017. Prior to that, I had been involved in student-lead study sessions in college; I also tutored fellow high school students in algebra and geometry when I was a teenager.
For me, learning is one of the most satisfying experiences you can have, and being a part of someone else's "eureka!" moment is a close second. One thing that draws me to tutoring is the idea that every individual learns in a different way. I enjoy trying to tailor my lessons to my students, so that they can see the most progress in their studies. Learning is a skill we need all throughout life, so knowing how to do it efficiently will prove immensely beneficial.
I enjoy theater, movies, sports, reading, and volunteering. When I have the time, I also love going on hikes or camping - anything that will let me be outdoors for a while. It is my goal to be able to travel the world at some point, as my few times abroad have been enlightening and memorable. I also hope to attend graduate school one day, but for what area of study I am still unsure.
